The first Bangalore Functional Programming meet up was held on 25th Oct, 2008. Nick presented an Introduction to Functional Programming and I did a small talk on “Building Abstractions in Scheme”. More information can be found at this Google group: http://groups.google.co.in/group/bangalore-fp?lnk=srg. I consider the event a big success. 10-12 People turned up. Most of them have a serious interest in FP and was familiar with the concepts. That is a surprise, especially in a place like Bangalore. We plan to meet up regularly. If you are from Bangalore and has real interest in FP, please consider joining the group.
